Crazy world

There's some crazy people out there. I was surfing YouTube, a link someone shared on Facebook. I ended up watching videos of a channel called "HermosaVerdad" that are trying to show the world how wicked christians are. Granted, one of their videos shows a quite extreme christian thanking God for the Japan earthquake, because according to her it was an answer to her prayers to open atheist's eyes and make them "see the thruth".
But seriously?
Both of them are extremists. Is it so hard to respect each other? Respect each other's views? I for one do not believe there is a God, but that doesn't make me feel the need to tear down any believer. On the contrary, I respect that they do believe, and in some people I know I admire the way they live their faith (I think they'll know if they read this). In return I only ask respect for my own point of view.
It is one thing to ask people to open up and reflect about things, and in the end, let them make their own decisions. It is another forcing your point of view upon them, forcing it down their throat, because you supposedly have "the one and only thruth". And that goes both ways, as in I'm talking about the obviously extremist atheist channel and the extremist christian. Respect is a keyword, something both seem to lack.
To me, there is not "one truth". There are various, and each person has their own. To create a human world, respect for these various thruths is a key. But unfortunately, many people do not get that. At least I am lucky enough to be surrrounded by people who respect me for what I am and for what I believe, and in return I respect them. It's simple, really. Give it a try.
