Wonderful weekend

What a wonderful day yesterday and the day before. Friday I went out for lunch with Jess. We got tea (Jess) and a great café con leche (me) and a sandwich from Pans & Company, to be savoured  in the sun at Plaza Mayor. So nice we stuck around for a while, and then one of Jess's american friends, Matthew, came by. We savoured the sun some more and then decided we should all go to Decathlon. By foot, since the weather was that great. Matthew needed something from there, Jess & I decided to take advantage of that to browse the store. I finally got a t-shirt for work outs and some running shoes. Of course with all that new gear I felt like going for a run. Even though it was past 8pm and dark when we finally got back, Jess and I decided to go running anyway. We got back just in time for dinner, what a treat. Jess also felt like going for a swim, so we decided that would be a good activity for saturday morning. She found out that swimming goes in shifts of 45 minutes. So, there we went. We bought swimming caps and cubrepies (because they're compulsary) and went in. 45 minutes of exercise. Even with painful muscles afterwards, it was great. We strolled back home, and since it was 1:30pm already, we got pizza and ate it, in the sun, at Plaza Mayor. We literally took another sunbath. Tomar el sol, I don't believe there's any language that says it better than that. What a power of good. Food, a nap, a book, some music, the sun, life is good. We stayed until 5 o'clock, because that's when stores open again. Unfortunately the store Jess needed something from is closed on saturday afternoon (like a lot of shops), so we just went back home. I did my laundry, translated a bit and went for food. Easy conversation this time, even spent some time in someone else's room afterwards, then went back to translation. It was 11:20pm by that time, so I didn't really get to finish.
