Lo bien que lo pasamos tomando el sol

I guess I should update my blog a little.Write about the wonderful week I had. The first half was kind of busy, we had to finish a group work. Cosa que odio, pero esta vez la gente con quien trabajé fue fantástico. They were quick to accept me amongst them when I made a last minute change of group (y desafortunadamente también de tema -bye bye music industry, welcome tv & internet). Anyway, we had a presentation on Wednesday, so all through that moment was rushing to get everything done in time. The paper we had to write, the documental we had to make, the presentation we had to give. The big moment was somehow less nervewrecking than it is for me to present at home. Afterwards, the prof told us it was a good presentation, and gave me a huge compliment on my Spanish, so a smile got stuck on my face for a while.

Miércoles por la tarde, a descansar. Pretty good weather outside, too. Salió el sol y parece que ya no se va a esconder, y eso me encanta por cierto. Thursday then I accompanied a friend to the hairdresser and then went home with her. We even found a lost kitty in her room, which was quite funny, because when I heard a cat I was like "ooooh do you have a cat?" and she answered, all lost, "uhm no?", but when we opened her bedroom door, sure enough, we found one. We went downstairs and ringed the neighbours, but none of them lost a cat. The poor thing was scared shitless... Lucky enough at night the cats owners appeared.
I stayed over for dinner and we had a nice homemade salad. Yesterday I went for some sunbathing at the Plaza, but after an hour we gave up, because we were literally melting there. Afterwards I did accompany Jess & Laura for a walk though, and at night Jess & I had dinner with Matthew at an italian place, with absolutely GREAT tiramisu for dessert. We went for a drink at the Erasmus café, and I was quite surprised (& pleased) to find out that Delirium beer isn't only served in Belgium, in Brussels to be more precise. They serve lots of other Belgian beer as well, they have got the Dutch theme going on which means plates and phrases in Dutch, so I feel quite at home there. Yesterday they even played Hooverphonic's Mad About You, so it was just perfect. One of Jess's spanish friends joined us and he showed us this great bar afterwards. When we came in, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club was playing, so it didn't take long to figure out I liked the place. Really it's the first one where I really like the majority of the music they play (even El Charro -both of them- is not as great. Actually, they turned out to be quite a disappointment last time), and they even do Dubstep nights (Jess being a fan...). So we were sold. And with that, a perfect night out on the town came to an end.

Today I've accompanied Jess to the busstation, 'cause she had to leave for springbreak. I'll spend another week tomando el sol here in Salamanca, and then I'll switch countries for a week. Spain for France, that is.
But until then, I'll enjoy myself ion the spanish way of life.

Desigual

Tan sencillo es para que me dirijan cumplidos: sacar mis pantalones (estupendos, maravillosos, espléndidos, hay que decirlo, ni siquiera exagero, estas palabras no acaban de describirlo) de Desigual, pónermelos y salir a la calle. Que siempre tienen un exíto inmediato. Ni siquiera tengo que llegar hasta la calle, al pisar el pasillo y ya estamos. Y eso no lo escribo para ostentar o nada del estilo, simplemente me hace sonreir. Me encantan mis pantalones a mí mismo, tan sencillo es. Si los quiero yo mismo, tampoco pasa nada eh!

Sale el sol

Hoy sale el sol, & it's here to stay. Temperatures between 20 & 27° in the week to come. No me quejo, ay no.
Es las 5 y media de la tarde y el sol que me estoy tomando en mi balconcito sigue quemando. Que maravilla. Estas son las temperaturas que tenemos en pleno verano en Bélgica, si tenemos suerte. Pues España, te quiero. Muchíssimo.
